We intend to strengthen our manufacturing capabilities in anticipation of the future demand for integrated engineering solutions. The growth of the semiconductor industry in Malaysia is expected to spur expansion plans of MNCs and local companies in Penang.
We intend to construct an additional manufacturing facility in Penang Science Park North, Daerah Seberang Perai Tengah, Pulau Pinang.
Upon completion of the construction of this new manufacturing facility, we intend to:
a. relocate all D&D operations to the new manufacturing facility, and centralise our D&D operations here; and
b. relocate our precision machining of niche sheet metal and assemblies for the semiconductor industry, from our existing manufacturing facility in Taman Perindustrian Batu Kawan to the new manufacturing facility.
This will enable us to better cater for our clients in the semiconductor industry by equipping us with a platform to provide more customised and higher specification requirements, such as for cleanroom assembly.
We anticipate to complete the land acquisition and receive vacant possession of the land by the first quarter of 2023.
